Here for your benefit are links to the preeminent ADR organizations, agencies and firms involved in mediation/arbitration within the State of Ohio.
The Academy has worked cooperatively with various bodies to ensure that only the most experienced professionals are included in our member roster. Note though that there are no formal certification requirements for the private practice of mediation or arbitration in Ohio.
Ohio Supreme Court - Dispute Resolution Section
Ohio Supreme Court Dispute Resolution Section was established in 1992 and has helped establish mediation programs in more than 50 courts across Ohio. The section trains mediators and provides funding and consulting for the programs, which exist in trial and appellate courts. The website contains links to publications, rules and legislation and provides resources for foreclosure mediation, parenting coordination and court-connected mediation. Ohio Mediation Association
The Ohio Mediation Association is a statewide organization made up of mediators from a variety of backgrounds and professions who support and promote the use of dispute resolution and conflict management. OMA works on behalf of all family and civil mediators in Ohio to strengthen the profession's standing. OMA serves mediators and those who need mediation services in many Ohio cities including Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Dayton. For more info, visit www.mediateohio.org.
Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio (MANO)
Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio (MANO) Formed in 1991, the Mediation Association of Northeast Ohio is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering mediation as a profession and a practice.
